So what should a coffee shop actually do?
Don't default to the cheapest option
A programme that costs less but has 10% adoption is more expensive per engaged customer than one that costs more with 80% adoption.
Prioritise zero friction above all else
NFC tap > QR scan > app login. Every second of friction loses you customers. The Gartner research is unambiguous: effort is 2x more predictive of loyalty than satisfaction.
